[I Bought] Grey Suede Winter Boots

grey suede boots 1

I was starting to get worried that I’m not going to find the right pair. Initially I was hoping for a pair of brown brogue shoes but i was disappointed not to have too many choices. The fact of the matter is, most of the boots that I found weren’t didn’t have fur lining.

So I found something that will (hopefully) keep me really warm this winter:

Item: Winter boots
Color: Grey
Fabric: Suede with fur lining
Brand: Benvenuti
Price: $106 (on November 26th 2011)
I’ll be wearing them with: most of my winter outfits

Best part: these boots come with a 60-day warranty which leads me to believe Benvenuti is really confident they’ll hold up in all the snow. I’ll be getting some protective spray anyway, to keep them in top shape and increase their life span.

Not seeing much in the way of suede boots in NYC this season, aside from the grown-ups. At least on Madison Ave and in the financial district. Hottest right now in men’s boots for the club scene is tall side-zips with 1.5- or 2-inch heels, black or brown. Really rare to see fur-lined.

If they go in and out of style – that’s ok. What’s important is that they can be a staple in any man’s winter wardrobe. Suede is actually very trendy, mostly because of desert boots.

These boots will go great with my blue dyed jeans as well as regular blue-jeans. I also saw GQ recommend a pair of shearling-lined desert boots just a few weeks ago.

Bottom line: these boots are worth it and the only thing better than them is a pair of brogue boots.

    Stay stylish!

Excellent boots! I’m in the UK so doubt I’d get these here but they’re fantastic. I’d always recommend spraying suede and nubuck with protector. Its the stuff they try and sell you in the shop, but it’s really worth doing. Makes a great difference in keeping water/dirt/stains off.

    Thanks, Al. Agreed!

Shoe stores are the only stores where the stuff that they’re upselling is actually useful, lol.

Keep looking. Try going to a neighboring city if you can’t find any where you live.

Another option is to buy online. Make sure, however, that you can return them if they don’t fit you and only buy from a reliable store.
