[I Bought] A Pair of Cufflinks

brass and artificial crystal cufflinks

Remember how I bought that french cuff shirt for New Years? Obviously, I needed a pair of cufflinks to go with it… and figuring out what kind wasn’t hard… it wasn’t hard at all.

I needed something with red. And, although I wondered for hours in both our malls to find them, I decided o buy them from the very store that sold me the shirt.

Item: cufflinks
Fabric: brass and artificial crystal
Brand: Artigiani
Store: Bigotti
Price: $75 (on December 31 2011)
I’ll be wearing them with: my french-cuff shirt

All in all, this is an acquisition I’m really proud of. Very few guys wear jewelry except for watches… and it’s time for things to change.

I’m intending to wear these buttons not just at weddings and special events, but every time I feel like it.

    George,
First off, I definitely like your new cufflinks–very eye appealing!!

A style question, if you don’t mind. Talking about accessories, I wear a stainless steel Rolex Submarine but do also own a gold Movado. I wear the Rolly daily. Is there any problem wearing the same watch in formal and/or informal surroundings?
Your opinion will be most appreciated, thank you,

    Hey Mike,

    Thanks, I love them too!

No, no problem at all, but keep in mind that the aim is to look as good as possible. So the question isn’t “which watch to wear?” but “how do I match it to the rest of my outfit?”

You can wear both watches in formal and informal surroundings, no worries, but why not show your gold watch as well?

You could mach it with, perhaps, a brown turtleneck and a herringbone sports jacket.
