Meltin’ Pot Spring Summer 2011

April 18th, 2011

I just had to post some photos from Meltin Pot’s collection. The vibrant colors are g-r-e-a-t.

These outfits are great if you’re under 30 but even if you’re not, you still have a great deal to learn from them. Getting older doesn’t mean you should give up wearing color.

let’s discuss the picture above for a second. There are actually two things which make the whole attire stand out:

- the hat
- the different shades and hues of blue

Sometimes, all you need to do is put on a stylish accessory such as a hat and you’re good to go.

Here’s another very simple yet stylish combination. This is what I call rookie layering… but it works wonders. A short sleeved shirt plus a t-shirt is all you need:

(Looks like Meltin’ Pot is really into jeans this year.)

And take a look at this one – the contrast between the light denim and the purple t-shirt is excellent.

I hope these pictures gave you some good ideas of what to try this spring/summer. Best part: these looks won’t get outdated in a year or two. Buy quality clothes and think long-term, this is the way to build a complete and timeless wardrobe.

I think chambray tops are stylish for the spring summer season as well. I just picked up a chambray short sleeve shirt and it looks great with chinos and boat shoes.

The parrot green T shirt and half sleeve check shirt on a rough blue denim makes an extreme good looking summer look.
