The Union Between Style and Photography

February 25th, 2012

stylish photography art

Many times, the way in which a photo of an outfit is made can influence the way in which we perceive both the outfit and the person wearing it. A great-looking outfit can go unnoticed because the photo was taken inside or at night and you can’t really see the colors very well.

Let me show you some really stylish picture of a gentleman. Both the outfits and the quality of the photo are excellent. They seem to be taking us back in time, when suits and sports jackets were worn by a lot more men. here we go.

johnny depp's rings

Accessorizing is probably any stylish man’s favorite part. Accessories are what make us stand out from the crowd and, some of them do an excellent job.

Today I want to discuss a more… Casual accessory. Heck, some folks are totally against it, saying it’s got absolutely no style whatsoever.

However, by the end f this article you’ll see that men’s rings are a great way to express yourself.

How to Tie A Scarf for Style and Warmth [VIDEO]

February 12th, 2012

It’s still winter so winter scarves are like life jackets: forget to put them on and you’ll wake up the next day with a nice cold.

Yet, guys who DO wear scarves are prone to getting sick as well. Reason? They didn’t tie their winter scarf the right way. The cold air got inside and… you know the rest.

I’m not going to show you one but several ways to tie scarves. Due to the fact they’re bulkier, you can’t tie just any knot.

So I found a few YouTube videos that show the process and handpicked the best ones. Take a look:

[I Bought] Brown Leather Sneakers and a Brown Belt

February 9th, 2012

Prices are continuing to drop in February so I had to do an emergency budget increase. I went back to Zara where shirts are getting cheaper and cheaper… but since I already got 2 of them last month I picked up this cool-looking leather belt. It’s really thin, which gives it a dose of formality.

I also found a great deal over at Pull and Bear and got myself a pair of leather sneakers at an unbeatable price. Here’s my two acquisitions below:

What Should a T-Shirt Look Like?

February 8th, 2012

This post was inspired by Johnny Depp‘s outfits which, as I’m sue you already know from a previous article, is a big fan of t-shirts.

I just wanted to give you a few pointers as to what makes a good t-shirt, which colors to choose and which models to avoid.

Fabric

This one is easy. Always go for cotton. It’s breathable, it’s light and it’s casual. Avoid synthetic fibers as they can cause itching and don’t allow for proper air circulation.

What Can You Wear When Jogging?

February 7th, 2012

I’ve recently asked myself this question after I bought a pair of casual sneakers. A reader suggested that these were only good for jogging which made me a little angry. For two reasons:

First: I didn’t buy them for jogging but for a spring-summer casual look

Second: I don’t have a proper jogging equipment.

This second reason is what I want to discuss with you today. You see, when you go track running, you can’t afford to layer, you can’t wear leather shoes and accessories such as hats, ties or pendants are out of the question. So what CAN you wear?
